After getting up in the morning and while sipping my coffee, I checked my email as usual. After scanning through the inboxes on my Microsoft Outlook, my attention was immediately drawn to the Seller Support message from Amazon: Action required: Your listing of B074G4LZCW has been closed due to a high rate of negative customer experiences.
As you can imagine how shocked I was. I immediately clicked on the link to visit Amazon’s seller support central website to learn about what happened. Here is what I found which caused the closure of the listing, basically three bad reviews at least two of which I cannot find on the customer review page on the product page without editing:
- coin holder too small
- the clip was broken when opened
- Thought this was a bifold wallet according to the description. It is not.
To address the first bad review, this wallet is not designed for holding coins. This is a minimalist wallet and nowhere in the description suggests it’s a coin holder, but I believe you can still hold a few if you want to. I want to respond to this review but I can’t find it on the review page. It’s probably the excuse a customer used for requesting a refund.
The second review is, unfortunately, a common negative review which I admit and have provided feedback to the manufacturer. However, one of the causes of why the clip can be broken is due to the compact design of the latch, it can be broken if forced too much. But as stated in the product guarantee, please feel free to request a refund or exchange.
And if you like to keep the wallet, I suggest you get the stronger version of the chain, which is also available on Amazon as shown below. You can click on the image to get to the page. And hey, guess what? another inaccurate bad review was posted, the customer said it’s too short! Did he read the description first? 🤷♂️
The third bad review is also false, which I can’t find on the product listing page to respond to either, and again, an excuse for requesting a refund. There is nowhere in the product description stating it’s a bifold wallet. And if you look at all the wallet pictures, does it look like a bifold wallet to you?
Fortunately, after taking the suggested action provided by Amazon, the product listing can be relisted again rather quickly.
Anyway, I do apologize to you if you had a bad experience with one of the products, please feel free to request an exchange or refund, however, I do prefer you to contact us first to see if we can resolve your issue to your satisfaction before posting a negative review. For those customers who posted a good review, I sincerely appreciate your patronage.
To be honest, selling on Amazon is just my side hustle, and as you can see, it’s not easy and I am far from depending on it for reliable income. It’s a great learning experience though.
